My name is Hannah Griffiths and I am 19 years old from Thatcham, woop woop! I love shopping, traveling and gigs. I have a wide taste in music from Norah Jones to No Doubt. I love awful TV programmes such as “The Hills” and “Girls of the Playboy Mansion”. Hehe. Ooh and I love Tim Burton films, got to love Edward Scissor hands! I am huge fan of vintage eBay clothing, and vintage pin ups, such as Marilyn Monroe and Edie Sedgwick.I live in West Downs and love it, however next year I think I shall commute as I’m not too far. I love the whole university experience and made lots of new friends. I study Journalism & Creative Writing, and hope to work in the fashion industry after. I am currently working for the Winchester Student newspaper as a Fashion reporter, which I am really enjoying. I really enjoyed last semester modules, this semester I feel it’s a bit different, but give it a few weeks I am sure I will be alright. So the first lesson of “People and Politics”, kind of went over my head. Because I know nothing about politics, and I spent my time writing stuff down and not listening. So now I am going to take the days notes with me, and just annotate “Hannah’s language” over the top. I was actually surprised for someone who knows nothing about politics I knew a few bits and bobs. So I have decided to screw my head on and concentrate.
I have been slightly ill recently, and not posted till now. But I hope to blogging a lot more. Haha, the fun!
Hannah

Can we meet up in a couple of weeks to discuss doign a piece for the course site about fashion and ‘people watching’ at Wincehster. I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment trying to get the site upo and running and doing a lot of things associated with arriving at Wincherst, but it would be great to work more directly with you at some point in the neatr future.

Yes sure, sounds great. The student newspaper named “Alfie” was only published for the first time in February, but I have already sent in my March issue to my editor. It is good fun!
It’s all a bit trial and error at the moment, and we have a problem doing the photos (copyright) but that should be improved I think in the next issue. The web address is http://www.alfieonline.org/, and in the fashion department I think there are 6 of us, 2 from each year I think. Have a look!
